I am going tomorrow to look at two cars and I am probably going to be driving home in one of them. I have been in the market for a new ride for a couple of weeks and have narrowed my search down to them. They are the same make and model (Toyota Corolla) but the one is a year newer. That one however has more miles than the older one but not by much. My goal is to use the two dealerships against each other as they are similarly priced too. They are both automatics which is something that is important to me. I have a rather long commute and a lot of it is in stop and go traffic so the last thing I want is to be changing gears all the time. I actually found a very nice VW Jetta that was perfect for me but it was a manual so I didn’t even bother to go look at it.
One thing I need to do tomorrow morning before I leave is get car insurance quotes on both vehicles. That is something I haven’t done yet but I don’t expect them to be that much different. I mean they are almost the same besides one being a year older. They are also different colors (grey and black) but that isn’t a big deal. I actually like the grey color a little better because I have owned a black one before and they get very dirty. It isn’t a deal breaker or even close to it though as I don’t really care.
The reason I am in the market right now is because my current vehicle is getting up there in miles. I want to trade it in while I can still get some kind of value for it. I have a number in mind and am going to be pretty adamant on getting it too. The nice thing about the whole thing is it isn’t like I absolutely need to buy one tomorrow. That always makes it easier to walk away when a dealership won’t work with you. I learned that from my friend Joe who is awesome at haggling. I actually thought about asking him to come with me but he just had a kid last week so I didn’t want to bother him. I need to make my way over there sometime to see the little guy.
